July Inspiration Challenge

    When July rolls around here in the U.S. it means we will be celebrating the 4th of July. It's one of my favorite holidays because we put out the flag and get together with family and friends to celebrate by having a BBQ and watching fireworks.

    This month I want you to take inspiration from the American Flag and the 4th of July for your layout. You don't have to do a 4th of July layout, just be inspired by this photo to scrap whatever you'd like.

    Pick any or all of the following to inspire you:
    • stars
    • stripes
    • colors - red, white and blue
    • fireworks
    • Bokeh
    My layout was inspired by all four things - stars, stripes, fireworks and the colors (red, white & blue).

    Gentle Reminder:
    Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the July Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread (please use the share BB IMG code found on the right side in the gallery.

    The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

    2 challenges = 10% off
    4 challenges = 20% off
    6 challenges = 30% off

    If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).

    I interpreted this loosely.
    I have red, white and blue within the photos, and the bottom journal card which has a similar feel to the stars and stripes on the flag.

    I went with a loose interpretatio too, as we don't celebrate 4th july here! =)

    my page has white, red and the blue is from my niece's blue jean dress! the star shape was altered to the lemon/oranges shapes here:

    Inspired by the American Flag!! Combat Skills Training 1996... Here I was 2 months pregnant with my first child suffering horrific morning sickness, but I made it thru - It was 7 days of brutal training, but also some good memories!

    Thanks for the challenge, Kayla! It gave me a chance to use one of my American flag photos. I was inspired by everything red, white and blue.
