Hello and welcome to another month of challenges! I don't know about you, but it's been a long dreary winter and spring has been kinda slow to get moving where I live, which makes me really in need of some brightness - and soon! I'm looking forward to some warmer and springlike days ahead and that has me feeling like I want more color in my world! This month's style challenge encourages to embrace all things colorful - let's get bold and bright this month! So for this style challenge, create a layout that uses bright colors...think bright, colorful paints, embellishments, ephemera, and papers! Here is my layout that I created for this challenge: I used: Just Jaimee's Watercolor Splotches Brushes and Storyteller April 2022 BYOC Kit, Memory Pockets Monthly Breathe, Sara Gleason Albus Papers, Valorie Wibbens Sprinkles V15, Story Strips, and Queen of Hearts No. 2. I hope you enjoy getting colorful this month - I look forward to seeing what you create! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the May Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. If you aren't sure how to link your page from the gallery, check out this thread: Gallery Sizes and Crediting. Despite the title, it shows how to link your page too! The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I honestly don't know if spring is ever going to arrive this year, we are already in May and so much rain, every day!! Ugh! Trying to look on the bright side:
When I saw your inspiration page I knew exactly which photo to scrap! I just didn't know if I wanted to adorn it with rainbow confetti, ribbons, paint splotches, sequins, buttons or flowers. I ended up loving how Sara Gleason's petals looked on my page and so that was that! Thanks for another fun challenge!
