M*A*S*H - well 6 weeks of war is better than the three years the Korean War lasted.

But I will be more careful what shows I watch from now on. I may just quit watching tv just to be safe

It's a reboot of the old 1960s show. So far it's good. Not outstanding, but good. It's on Netflix. The Antagonist of the show just drives me nuts with her mannerisms, which means the actress (Parker Posey) is doing an amazing job. She's just slimy. But it's something my DH & I can watch together.

Are you liking this season? So far I've been unimpressed, especially with the language. It's like the show's been Netflixed, as I call it. Take a good show, throw in tons of F-bombs, make it racy and there you go. The whole Burlesque thread just doesn't do a thing for me at all. I think they've jumped off a bridge without a boat to rescue them.

    What's your opinion?

It's always been a bit foul mouthed (especially Susie) so I don't think I can say it's that much more F-bombed than usual.

As to if I like it? Hmmm... I thought it was kind of weird that it started out with Midge being a grifter so to speak and getting all the credit lines opened.

However - has foul mouthed as the eulogy was - I think Susie deserves an award for that performance. I was in tears and the things she said made me really think of all the marginalized people of the world, and how we can be a part of making that happen less often.

I think the burlesque thing was something that Midge probably could do if it were in real time. She is black balled from comedy, but she has a reputation of being one of "those" women, so burlesque would hire her where other people would not.

I'm at a wait and see right now. I am not over the moon for how long we waited for this, but I'm certainly not ready to walk away.

hmmm... good to know about the language. I don't enjoy shows with bad language, so I guess I'm glad I haven't seen it.

NETFLIXED - now that's a good word for it. I hate it when they take a good show and throw in tons of bad language and make it racy! I'm this close to cancelling Netflix... I just need to get the rest of the family on board.

Honestly, I'm in it just for the clothes! lol! I'm even on a FB group about recreating the outfits!

I'll also see how it goes. I'll watch the rest of the series just because. But my favorite part of the series so far was the Wonder Wheel scene. What a feat of script and cinematographic choreography!

I can't watch the Office, simply because they have the wiggly camera effect. It makes me physically ill. Oh well!

Oh that is so sad! I get motion sick at almost everything, but I never noticed that there was a wiggly camera effect.

The show is so funny, and gets even better with rewatching. If you've ever worked in an office, you can't help but laugh at the overexaggerated characters that you know from work.
