Oh yes! I think any that you haven't tried (and by extension, I haven't tried) are free game and not allowed to go!
If I can't have but 3 donuts for the rest of my life, here are my choices: 1. Apple Fritter 2. Cinnamon Roll 3. Chocolate Cake with Chocolate frosting (not on your list! Clutch my pearls!!!!) Here they are:
2 (long john) - but only if it's custard filled. The cream filled is TOO lardy! 4 (maple bacon) 13 (old fashioned).
I also haven't heard of many of those. Like Bear Claw? I've heard of that many times, but I guess I never saw one to know it's actually shaped like a bear claw?
#16 French Cruller is a MUST stay for me!!! #4 Maple Bacon this is so good from a couple of our local donut places #9 Devil's Food... or what I call cake donuts! My favorite is the chocolate frosted cake donuts!! And it's not on the list BUT my town is home to a donut shop that was ranked the best in the state by Food & Wine magazine. They have THE BEST homemade cinnamon roll donuts EVER!!!! So those are a must for me!
Oh, Karen, I used to love bear claws. I can't eat donuts anymore, but they used to be one of my faves.
Wow, these are very different from what we have in the UK, I have no idea what most of them are but I would keep 2. The Long John as that looks interesting, 21. Sugar - nice with a cup of tea, and def 5. Coconut - drooling ...
I just am not a huge fan of donuts for some reason but I do like a good Cronut, so I would choose only that one to stay. One of the only donuts I really like is the the apple cider donut but it isn't on there.
I really just prefer a good old-fashioned cake donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles but we do have a local bakery that makes cinnamon-caramel powdered yeast donuts that are absolute perfection. Before he met me, my boyfriend didn't know the difference between cake & yeast donuts (?!), and I've had to tell him more than once which is which again as he doesn't eat them unless he's with my kids & me. As someone who grew up eating Entenmann's donuts for a special breakfast treat, this is mind-boggling to me.
22, 2 and 8... I am not a huge fan of "cake donuts" and prefer the long johns or filled ones most of all.. but than again you probably can tell by my flabby tushy that I am not one to turn down a donut in any shape or form
22 - Apple fritter - hands down my favorite, but is it really a doughnut? 10 - Blueberry 13 - Old fashioned...it also looks like something we call a sour cream doughnut.
I guess Paczki are out for you. We are in Michigan and paczki time is upon us. The place we buy them at is an Italian bakery and they have cannoli crème filled ones and ones with chocolate custard
