Photo clipped to lots of rectangles, to represent the page being all about pieces of me. Brick wall for putting up defences to protect my emotions, explanatory word art, messy threads and scribbles because my life and mind is like that (has been for a long time and will be for a while more), greenery to represent my love of green, nature, trees, flowers because I love flowers (used to work in a flower shop), hearts for both being broken and being full of love for my family, butterflies for the hope that I can soon emerge and be free from the intolerable marriage situation I am enduring, bright colours mixed in for hope. Oh and a little kitty cat stamp hidden somewhere because, well, cats!

 

WHOOP! And I am done, what a way to end!

This explains my layout -
I love patterns and mixing them (clothing, art, etc).
Flamingoes and Cats are my faves.
I love Summer, Shoes, Music - but I only wear cans, Large Mugs, Large Glasses, and Books.
I love the ocean and all it's creatures, but esp Whales.
My girl gang is very special to me and it's a large posse.
I don't like to let others dampen my enthusiasm for life.
I love to eat and spend my life saying 'let's eat'.
I love leopard print, glitter and gold anything!
I am a cardmaker and send TONS of snail mail.
The leaves are for my love of nature.
I am 100% here for the good fun times!
And I love weekends.
The heart is for my Hubby, what fun would life be without him.

 

@mrs2a50 Julie thank you so much for this challenge and for all you do here at the pad! This was an awesome way to end MOC - where I have been pushed and prodded out of my comfort zone many times. Your final challenge really made me think, hunt, try, discard, retry until I finally got to something that I think represents the many stitched together aspects of me. What a way to end this incredible month. Thanks again!

thus concludes another year of MOC! We did it!

 

I needed some time to think about this page. Then this collection jumped out at me. It was the perfect combination of colors and simple elements to say what I wanted. First of all, the colors - teal and coral are my colors. I have 3 papers and 3 flowers which represent my family of 3. This year, my daughter started middle school and my husband and I both have new jobs in education. Finding that balance between holding on and letting go is a challenge and I need to just breathe. It often gets messy - the beads, paint, and stitches - but I try to do it all with love - the heart brad. It's been a great MOC - thanks to everyone who put it all together!

Thanks for a fabulous month and this one last challenge! At its center my background paper is neat and orderly with everything lined up nicely, but around the edges it's a little busy and chaotic. My elements represent my family of 5 people, my hobbies, being back in school, teaching preschool, my attitudes, and my physical attributes (bad eyesight and curly hair). As a child I wasn't that into pink and glittery, and throughout most of my adulthood black was my color. I'm finally starting to embrace pink and buy some things in bright colors.

 

This was hard for me as I really did not want to use Madonna's quote as I totally disagree with it, however, I got around that I think.
