Here's how this page reflects who I am: - Books: represent my love for knowledge - The background paper represents my need for structure and organisation. - The neutral colour palette represents my nerdy or conventional nature. - The composition of the elements, which are placed at the far end of the layout, represents my shy personality and dislike towards attention. - Hands: Represent my gentle heart - Hearts: Represent kindness - Flowers & foliage: Represent my sensitive nature - Paints: Shows my creative side - Checklist: I am detail-oriented.
I didn't have to hunt too far for elements because because two kits by Becca Bonneville really spoke to who I am -- my love of home (the house), travel (the globe), coffee (the cup), the dog (I have two fur-babies), even cacti (I live in Scottsdale and love the garden). This challenge spoke to me since I am just recently an empty nester and so have the time to really focus on me for the first time in a long time. And I have been contemplating what I want my life to look like in the years ahead.
since I retired I've tried to simplify life, I'm a home body, love to read, watch old movies, doodle, drink coffee, I love the peace and quiet, it's very good for my anxiety. great challenge.
Woo whoo! this has been fun! I used a good portion of my stash to make this. I am not sure how I feel about this page, it is messy (as am I), so this is what came out. I think it may be a good representation of how my mind is.
Thanks for this challenge! I really enjoyed this year's MOC, great challenges were proposed. Explanations are in the credits.
Can't quite believe I got to the end I used "Kindness Changes Everything" collab kit (because I love working with Rachel Jefferies!), plus my Morning Light kit (because I love painting birds and vintage feeling stuff). Phrase strips which reflects the things about myself that make life easier (resilience and optimism) also from M3 Feb 20 and M3 Dec 20.
Yes! And it's a wrap! Thanks for a fun challenge, thanks for a fun MOC! And to explain: Chicago skyline (upside down) - where I was born & raised Tree, grass, deer - where I live now Bird - I feed them daily Flowers & greenery - nature Sunflower - my favorite Rainbow - happy disposition Lion - my astrological sign (Leo) Carrots & cabbage - being a vegetarian since 1989 Wheat with “NO” - no grains Red glasses - what I wear these days Purple paint - my fav color Threads - being messy plus the nod to my sewing/quilting days Embroidered lace - my feminine side Heart - kindness & love to all living things (see being a vegetarian)
This was the hardest challenge of all. I chose a yellow background because it's sunny, yet there are so many things that run deep, so the blended items in it. Family is strong in my heart, so I chose the cork family, the heart behind the doll, and the broken and healed heart is my emotions about different experiences. I'm learning to cook (fine food tag), photography (camera) Zebras and zebra stripes (I'm a gal of a different color!) yarn flower for crochet, glasses cuz I need em, gear for the technology I love, and the rose for music. The butterfly is for my Momma, and the word strips are all things I feel. The heart charm is my love for my family, the pen and brush are my creativity, and the fish is Jesus, the foundation of my life.
I am simple, typically not very flowery, straight to the point, usually follow the path and Love nature, being in the mountains and getting to the top!
