My sweet, sweet Mia . . . it took a lot of treats to convince her to sit in front of my computer screen!
My attempt at the challenge, I had to have my son hold the photo on the iPad which was really difficult to photograph without glare on screen. So I have added the image that is on the iPad in the smaller photograph. Photo of my son Callum and our dog Patch then and now. Patch does not look as happy to be sat by Callum lol
I really ended up liking this challenge because I love how the new photo just really has so many details about my dh that I didn't even realize at first.
It took forever, because my original idea was outside, and it's too cold. Just too cold with that Arctic wind! But, I'm okay with that, because I really really really love how this turned out! Photos: May 2010, and January 22, 2022.
December 2017 with 3 children and our first caravan, compared to January 2021 with 4 children and our fourth caravan- that is currently home!
Here's mine, finally (on day 28, lol). When I saw the challenge was to do a then and now photo within a photo, I knew I wanted to scrap the changes that made my son's bedroom become my office. The only issue was that I had to clean it up and put up the decorations I wanted to truly make it my office. It took two years between when he moved to his new room and this end result, and there's a reason you can only see one half of the room, lol. But as you can see on the computer screen, it used to be the corner that had my son's bed on which I received many morning hugs, the safety padding on the wall (for epilepsy) and his decorative stickers. And it is now my nerdy corner with the bookshelf with my photobooks, Disney things, and all my HP decorations PS: you have to zoom in a bit to see the details of the photo on the computer screen, I hope that's okay. I tried to highlight it in the layout by placing the frame around the screen on which I displayed the photo. And I promise it's the same corner of the same room pre and post room change! Thanks for the challenge. Putting the old photo of our fireplace area before the remodel on the big tv was the perfect way to show the before and after.
Explaining: Still so very happy with our 'Viro'. He was so little when he first came to our house. (picture of today with the first picture we made coming home with him)
I thought I was pretty clever photoshop-ing an image into a frame and putting it in front of an image of me, however, I did not read the brief properly. So here is my redo. Day 2 - Then & Now Redo by Dannisa posted Jan 30, 2022 at 7:13 PM
Super fun challenge, Traci! I was going to do a photo of my kid, since it's his birthday month and that seemed appropriate, but the kitties cooperate more than the kid sometimes..
FINALLY!!! OK, so I made a second page because I've been second-guessing on the clarity of the "Then" photo :/
The 'then' photo on the screen was taken when my baby was a newborn.. the 'now' photo was taken today.
i took a few potential photos for this challenge throughout the month but this was my orginal idea but because she wouldn't put on her uniform before the actual start of school, this photo is from today 1 Feb and the start of school for the last year for her
