I used my big girl camera and manual settings to underexpose the plants sitting next to the window. In Lightroom, I darkened the shadows and brought the highlights up.
The Hardest Part Of This Challenge Was Trying To Figure Out How To Create A Black Background?...It Is Surprising How We Don't Have A Lot Of Black Things...I Tried A Few Things That Just Didn't Work...So I Sat & Thought For Awhile...& I Came Up With This Idea To Use My Long Black Sleeveless Dress To Cover The Computer Chair [Surprisingly It Worked] & I Tried Multiple Things Again...But I Liked This Cherished Teddy Figurine Pic The Best...I Had Never Thought Of Documenting This Nice Gift...The Figuring Is Called : Friendship Comes In All Sizes : & The Bears Names Are Theodore,Samantha & Tyler...This Was A Gift From My Mother-In-Law From A Few Christmas-es Back...A Fun Way To Document Such A Thoughtful Gift!... *For My Friendship "Bears" All Layout-I Used : *Mixed Media Monthly: January 2019 : Sincere/Trust/Friendship : Plus : Add-On : Rachel Jefferies *Postage Stamps Frames #1 : Paula Kesselring *Font : She Rocks Personal Use Regular : Shannon Extra Bold Regular
@ashleywb Thanks so much for teaching me about my iPhone camera. I've gotten so lazy with taking photos with my phone - just pointing and clicking most of the time. It's amazing how much you can control and do with them now. I took this photo into the abyss of my kitchen at night with my table lamp as illumination. I was amazed at how clearly it focused and how neat it turned out. Also tried to get my youngest to cooperate and took pictures the same way with her. She just wasn't into it. So I went with the "seize the day" saying, which seems to be fitting for this challenge. Thanks again Ashley!
