Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 20 of The Lilypad's MOC! Are you having fun? Today is about photos! Bad photos! We all have "imperfect" photos! Today we are playing with those photos that normally we delete or simply don't look at them again. Let's embrace the imperfect ones - I want to see those that are totally out of focus, wrong angle, noisy background, head cut off, parts missing or with sun flare. Not everything has to be instagram-worthy to be scrapped and documented. My challenge for you is to create a page using a "perfect imperfect" photo. Easy peasy and fun!!!! ok ok ok. here are some bad photos: OMG! wrong angle! I have one leg on this one: can you see my dog with me?? focus?? where are you? oh God! my son's fiance's head LOL Here is my example: what's bad here? parts missing of my son and noisy background. credits: I'm Somewhere Inbetween | Mixed Media Artistry, I'm Somewhere Inbetween | Journaling Prompts, I'm Somewhere Inbetween | White Collages, Messy Marks: Date Stamps 2022 PLUS BONUS all by Rachel Jefferies; New Year's Eve by Paislee Press Some inspiration from the Pollys: by Carol: what's bad here? the damaged film. credits: Dog-Eared Alpha by Pink Reptile Design, Big Sky Kit by Lynn Grieveson and Messy & Imperfect: Messy Threads by Rachel Jefferies by Danica: what's bad here? there was something over her face, maybe a piece of hair over the lens or some weird light. and the dogs head was cut off. credits: Designed by Soco Simply Clean No. 12, Gina Miller Olive & Beau, Gina Miller Olive & Beau Tiny Notecards by Stefanie: what's bad here? it is blurry. credits: Inner Monologue from NBK Designs, Perforated paper alpha from Kim Jensen, Messy Marks dates 2021 by Rachel Jeffries, Project Mouse Adventure elements by Britt-ish Designs and Sahlin Studio, Documented kit from Allison Pennington by Kayla: what's bad here? it is blurry. credits: cut it up template by lynn grieveson, bordered vellum alphas by kim jensen, BYOC bundle oct 19: messy & imperfect, Messy Marks: Date Stamps 2019/2020 by rachel jefferies The rules for this challenge: - You can use ONLY ONE photo. - You can turn it b&w or add a sepia tint, but the reason it's imperfect must be obvious. Remember my examples above - out of focus, wrong angle, noisy background, head cut off or parts missing, sun flare, etc. I want to see a photo you wouldn't normally scrap. - I want to see your photo as it is so extraction, angle fix and blending are not allowed. Can't wait to see your perfect pages with your imperfect photos!!!! In addition to the individual rules for this challenge, please follow our overall guidelines: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: 1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). 2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. 3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). If you use product from other stores, your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
reserved post for Q&A My son's school picture this year was so bad...not even sure what he was thinking when the picture was taken. The picture quality itself is fine...not glare, blurs, etc. Can I use this picture or does it have to be a technical problem with the photo. No, for this challenge is has to be out of focus, wrong angle, noisy background, head cut off, parts missing, sun flare, closed eyes without intention, finger over the lens. thanks for asking. For this challenge, do I have to be the one who took the photo? I'd like to use a childhood photo that was taken by my dad (but only if that's allowed!). no, the photo can be taken by others. go ahead and use your precious photo
I had so much fun doing this challenge. The photo is super blurry but I love how it captures Aspen smiling and laughing. I never would have scrapped it without this challenge to push me to just go for it! THANKS @amandaresende
This will be fun. I have a TON of bad photos, lololol. I don't see the images on your original post, though.
you are a rock star, my friend! thanks so much for embracing the bad photo! this page made me so happy!
I have 6 centuries of bad photos, was this the perfect challenge for me or what!!! Great bad photos everyone.
Thank you for this challenge as I possibly would not have otherwise used this photo on a layout as it is blurred from movement - me laughing and the dog moving.
