Elements – paper map background, old map scrap, geo marker map stamp, map flair, map banner, arrow . . . not sure if I should count the state outline mask or not, but I've got more than 5 anyway.

Thanks for the challenge! I'm not 100% sure that some of my location elements are acceptable, but let me know if they're not and I'll replace them.

Five Items: Globe, Street Sign Arrow, Geo Tag, Postage Stamp, Interstate Flair

    Journaling (119 words):

The Pensacola Beach Ball water tower is located in the Casino Beach parking lot. There were actually two water towers, one at each end of the beach. The other tower was destroyed in 2006, but the one in the Casino Beach parking lot was spared. It remains an icon only and is no longer a functioning water tower. It was refurbished in 2012 with a new paint job. I took these photos on June 7, 2012, and as you can see, it's size and vibrancy make it a memorable landmark. I love that the water tower has plans in place for regular maintenance, so that it will remain a sight for us to enjoy for many years to come.

Finally!! I had a lot of thinking to do to get this done to my satisfaction. It doesn't look all that complicated, but thinking of what I want to say and how to represent it was very challenging for me. I am very happy with how this turned out.
My 5 elements: deer stamp, compass brad, stamps (4), heart arrow and Iowa meme.

    Journaling reads:
In 1998, I moved to a small town in Iowa from a big city in Illinois. Within a year, I moved again, but this time to an acreage, and still in Iowa. Prior to that I had never lived in any place other than a city and small town living was a new thing for me. I wasn’t used to the quiet of an acreage, where you can hear the birds chirping in the morning and the coyotes yipping at night. At first it was jarring – to be in a place that was almost eerily quiet as opposed to the noisiness of a city. But after a while, I grew to appreciate and welcome the quiet. I’ve now been on the acreage for 20+ years and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I love the quiet peacefulness, the swallows swooping to catch the dragonflies in the summertime, the randomness of visiting animals, deer in my backyard and how the approach of someone down our drive signifies a visit and not a directional mistake. I know I could find this peace and tranquility in almost any state but I'm ok with it being Iowa.
