my Toucanettes are in charge of the tree. We have both white and coloured and they have picked coloured for the past few years. The tree won't go up yet so don't know what I'll get this year.
We have white lights on our tree and our house, although I'm thinking about adding some red lights into the mix on the house next year.
Neither since I don't put up a lighted tree. I do have a lighted ceramic tree in my kitchen/dining area and a small lighted house in my living room.
Always colored and they are the C7 size. I have given thought to buying some white fairy lights to add to the tree, but have yet to buy any.
Both. We bought a prelit tree and it has white and colored lights. Just like the gif! I can do one, the other, or both alternating.
I prefer multicolored. In general I love colorful things. All white lights seem elegant and fancy, which is pretty to me, but not my style. You should see the eclectic mix of ornaments I've collected over the 35 years since I was a teen.
I like white lights on my tree, so that the ornaments we've collected over the years really stand out. Outside, we used to put out more lights, but now we just have a wreath that has white lights and a cutout nativity with white spotlights. We've done red and white and even multicolor before - back when the kiddos were younger.
Yes, this. I love the white lights against the tree's greenery, and white lights allow the ornaments to really shine.
At the moment I have no lights as no tree yet but they're usually both white & multicoloured , I throw as many light strands on the tree as I think the power point can handle!! I just can't handle them blinking too fast !
I have white and yellow( it's not really yellow, it's that old bulb lamp color). this year we are using only the yellowish, and we love effect!
30+ years ago I bought GE "twinkle light" strings. I loved them ... every other light dimmed and brightened, while the remaining lights stayed lit ... it was a beautiful effect. Unfortunately after 20 years the strings slowly gave up the ghost and died. I still miss those lights. I think they were only available for a couple of years, at least I've never seen them since.
I prefer colored lights on my tree. The ones outside of the hanging twinkle type icicle lights and those are all white. This year my hubby also added a ton of colored lights around he four posts that hold up our pergola. It resembles a runway in our backyard.
We have white lights upstairs on the tree, fireplace, and hutch. Downstairs we have the basketball tree which has colored lights as well as a string of colored bubble lights. My daughters started buying dh basketball themed ornaments years ago and it has taken on a life of its own. He now has 250 bb ornaments.
Main tree: White lights (although it does have a colored lights setting, we just don't use it since they don't match our blue/purple/pink snowflake theme!) Office Tree: White lights (cool tone) for my RAINBOW tree! It's my favorite thing right now! House: Blue lights (our house is a gray/blue color; doggies insisted on also posing for photo!)
We have done colored outside and white inside... but are now going to do white inside and white outside. DH and I both prefer white lights.
