Hi everyone, and Happy December! How is it even possible that the year is almost over? I am so excited to host this month’s Inspiration Challenge. December is my favorite month, even though things can get busy with lots of baking, holiday fun, shopping and activities. For this month’s challenge, I have chosen one of my favorite holiday songs, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and used the title as inspiration for my page. Your challenge this month is to choose a Christmas or holiday song or movie, and use the title or some of the lyrics or script as inspiration for your page. You are welcome to use as many photos as you wish, or even go photoless. When you post in the Challenge thread, please tell me the name of the song or movie that inspired your page. For this challenge, journaling is optional. Have fun. I can’t wait to see your pages! Here is my layout: I used Joyous by NBK Design. Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the December Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Watching all the Harry Potter movies at Christmas is a family tradition. I found this quote from Dumbledore and it made me giggle, so I used it for my page. I bought this Santa for my collection because he reminds me of Dumbledore.
inspired by the Frozen song - Do you want to build a snowman? Although with all my children being teenagers now we might not be obliged to watch that DVD again this year ...
I just found an old photo of my aunt with her favorite singer, and he sang her favorite holiday song...perfect for this challenge!!!
Inspired by Silent Night - I love this song and our Christmas that year WAS silent - because silence in that place is absolute!
