Hi pad scrappers, and welcome to the October Journaling Challenge. The time is going by so fast and here we are with Digital Scrapbooking Day weekend already and a whole new set of challenges for you! This month, the Journaling challenge is all about quotes. Adding a quote to a page is often the perfect finishing touch and makes a great layout even better. This month I would like to see regular journaling (minimum 3 lines of journaling), along with an accompanying quote. I want to see quotation marks and make sure you credit the author of your quote on your page (for example, my quote is "Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there." by Bo Jackson). Here is my page for a little inspiration. Note that I have both the quote and the author listed on the page. Credits in the gallery (click on the image). So to recap, here are the rules: Have regular journaling, minimum of 3 lines Have a quote Wrap your quote in visible quotation marks Make sure you credit your quote (if the author isn't known, then credit as "unknown") And please remember our regular monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the October Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I am looking forward to seeing your pages and your quotes!!
I forgot the quotations marks when I decided to go for a substantial journaling.... my brain looses memory by the minute LOL will fix later!
Used the quote "Schools out for summer, schools out forever" by Alice Cooper....I realise its probably stretching the idea of quote so let me know if you'd like me to change it @HeatherB
I've been waiting for the right time to use this silly picture of my grandson with his football buddy, "Big G". Thanks for the challenge, Heather.
My quote came from the book Enchanted April and came up when I googled those words... I've not read the book, but in Kim's kit is a tab/card with those words and I thought this quote was perfect! *Ü* Thanks for challenging me to use a quote, I don't normally think to do so!
