    True confession:

I use salted butter, even when the recipe calls for unsalted.

    Yours?

I ripped the tag off a pillow even with the federal penalties warning me not to.

Sometimes I'll use potato flakes/instant potatoes to thicken up cream based sauces and soups.

    Is there any other wine?

Like, I don't even drink, but if a recipe needs wine it's real - not cooking.

I do the opposite - I use unsalted, even if salted is called for.

I'm a salty girl, too...at least when it comes to butter :giggle

I hide treats in the cabinet with the baking supplies because I know that no one else will be looking in there :)

Back in the "old days" when my grandkids were little, I hid my Twix bars from them. BWAHAHA

I was hiding them in the desk door because munchkin found them looking for marshmallows in the baking cupboard!

I think my current location - in the bread pan - is working so far.

My snacks are hiding in the drawer with my undies - the only safe place in this house.

Salted butter for me as well as real wine. Real chocolate too instead of cooking chocolate.

@bestcee I suppose it's like the cooking wine, less tasty if you eat it on it's own, probably cheaper than the real thing.
I avoid it because it can taste a little plastic like and I'd rather have the kind of chocolate I would eat. Do you guys call it baking chocolate maybe?

@Eyeore We do have bakers chocolate. We also have chocolate discs that people melt down. Maybe that's the same as cooking chocolate?

Totally relieve yourself of any guilt (if you had any), that only applies if you're not the owner of the item!! I used to think the same thing, and then read the fine print.
