I like a good caramel apple. I’ve made them many times, oftentimes, the caramel wants to pool at the bottom. Anymore, I just melt caramel/butterscotch sauce and let the kids dip away.
To tell you the truth, I don't think I've ever had a candy apple, just caramel apples. If you have access to caramel where you live, you can just dip apple slices in it for the caramel apple taste.
I love caramel apples with chopped walnuts, or crushed oreos with chocolate or even cinnamon sprinkled on. The kneaders bakery near me makes them with all of those things and they also do a crushed butterfinger one, but I haven't tried it yet.
I found a recipe for caramel apples to share with you. https://www.kneaders.com/blog/butterfinger-caramel-apple-recipe
Candy apples all.the.way. I love them and I can eat them and close my eyes and be back at our little elementary school fall festival/Halloween thing and see my little hand holding it and then getting into the circle to do the cake walk. You do have to be careful biting depending on how thick the candy coating is. There are a lot of recipes you can do at home, but most of them I've found don't have the cinnamon. For me, it's the cinnamon flavor with the apple that's so yummy. I will often sprinkle cinnamon sugar on apple slices on peanut butter bread because it's just a great flavor combo.
Ummm just plain apple?! I have one most days & the birds get a few little slices from it & they like it too
I love them both, but it's been forever since I've had either one!! I may need to try out that recipe soon, Kayla!
Apples with homemade caramel for dipping in! I'm not big on the apple being covered in caramel since it makes it too hard to eat! I do like cinnamon candy apples - those are pretty awesome! But, apples with peanut butter. Or apple pancakes. Those are the best! And now, I'm looking at the apples on my counter and I'm going to have to go make caramel.
homemade caramel sounds divine! i found an instant pot recipe using eagle brand sweet and condensed milk that I want to try. I got a 4 pack of eagle brand at sam's club the other day.
I prefer to dip my apples in caramel! Or like some others say I'll slice up apples and sprinkle them with cinnamon.
