September Template Challenge

September already....where has this year gone???
I am hosting the template challenge this month, and Sara's template was perfect to tell my story. I have always been a fan of her simple style templates, which you can keep as is, or dress up to suit your style.

Here is your freebie template to play along with this month.



This template was perfect to help tell the story of how our oldest son has moved on to the next phase of his life...
My family is in the midst of a major change in our lives. Last year, our oldest daughter left for her first year of university and our oldest son graduated from high school this year. We were always planning on him going somewhere for post secondary, but he is big into basketball, and just wants to continue to play. This year was hard for graduating seniors (I understand it was hard on everyone), but especially ones that played sports. In BC, Canada, we didn't have any school or club sports this past year...which made it really hard for kids who were graduating and looking to play post secondary...which is where my son falls in. So with no real options in sight, we reached out to my sister who lives over in Ontario.
This is where the major life change happened...overnight. Within a week, he had packed up his room, his life...said his goodbyes and was off to Ontario with the hopes that he would get some extra training and time to help him continue to play basketball. There is no guarantee, but if we could give him some form of hope to continue playing...something that was taken from him this past year, then we would do it. So fingers crossed that something pans out for him.
