Hi all. It is Marilyn here. Welcome to Lynn's challenge for the month of September. I'm switching it up a bit and this time, I'm not hosting an old photo challenge. As Sharon indicated in Lynn's August challenge, Lynn is famous for the banners that she includes in many of her kits. And as a bonus, many come shadowed, so your work there is minimal. Banners can fasten something down on a page, they can act as borders, they can be draped as a swag, they can be stacked, and as you can see in my example below, I used them as trim for the art doll dresses as well as for a valance for the window. If you count all of the DIFFERENT banners on my layout, you should find eight. I challenge you to use a MINIMUM of three DIFFERENT banners (of Lynn's) on your page. And if you use more than five DIFFERENT banners (i.e. six or more), I'll count your name twice in the random draw. Please indicate your banner count when posting your layout in this thread. While my sample layout is an art journaling style with no photos, that is not a requirement. Feel free to use photos to document your memories, feel free to create any style that inspires you. Three banners are used here by this lovely layout from @marijke And another with three banners from @ajm I love her subtle use for that third one, I almost didn't see it. The Instructions: Use a minimum of three DIFFERENT banners on your page. Layouts must be new for this challenge and cannot be combined with other challenges. Use at least 75% of Lynn’s products. I have only recently discovered Lynn's creations but very happy that I did! And went through a couple of blog hop downloads I have just to see if this thing about banners was true... it was!!! I found so many... Increadible.. I don't normally use banners much so this challenge was a challenge... and to use six of them... well... like I said, a challenge is not a challnge unless it is a challenge. My banners are: two at the top, two at the bottom edge of the big photo (recolored) and two at the very bottom of the page.
This one was tougher than I thought it would be, apparently I have bought the few kits without banners (well some of them) so pulled from Scrappable Stackable No 4 and No 12, the Richmond Kit and the collab kit Yes pulled out Lynn's banner. Mostly used I Get Back Up - I have 7 total (but repeated a few so only 4 separate ones not sure which way is counting so wanted to have both)
Thanks for the challenge. I used 6 different banners - from the Finnfara, Leif, Daisy Daisy, Forestier, Bird Call, and Botanical Mix Shivering kits.
