Hello everyone. It's so cool being able to host the muse this week during my Guest Polly spot. We are looking at the different Moon Phases this month for our Muse, and my muse this week is the Waxing Moon. The Waxing of the Moon occurs after the new moon and the surface of the moon is gradually revealed, larger each night until the full moon. The Waxing Crecent has less than 1/2 the moon illuminated. The Waxing Gibbous has more than 1/2 the moon illuminated. Waxing means Maxing - or growing with light. When I was thinking about this week's Muse the following came to mind: Crescent shape Partial circle growing (child - teen - adult) growing plants/gardening Something getting larger Something getting brighter Moving into light Developing or creating something Building something There could be more. I'd love to see where this muse takes each of us. here's mine - growing plants/growing character qualities. Also got the crescent shape moon in circular design at the top corner (full credits in the gallery) So for Week two create something inspired by the Waxing Moon. There are no rules other than to follow the gallery rules of minimum 50% Lilypad Products. You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, with or without a photo. Create any shape/size page you wish. This is for everyone, so have fun and see where the muse inspiration takes you. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to August 31, 2021 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 4 layouts you are entered 4 times. You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). Continuing with the vertical narrow rectangles, here is my week 3. My moon phases just may look like Mickey Mouse ears. Oh well, not what I planned at all...
Fabulous challenge Angela!! and just love your page! Marilyn, terrific addition to your layout...... LOL! about the Mickey Mouse ears! but the first thing I noticed about your page was your lovely face and that beautiful sparkle in your eye!

I was inspired by the "growing" so I scrapped my growing pumpkins I was also inspired by Angela's circled paper pieces so I used a template with similar shapes from Scrapping with Liz. Thanks for the prompts!
