Rachel's Mixed Media Challenge - Aug '21 | CLOSED

Day 6 for my personal august challenge, create at least 5 pages a week. It's really a challenge, because I didn't scrap since a year, and very occasionnaly.

This was one of the first templates I purchased and have always loved it.

 

This one is bit darker, but decisions can looks hard sometimes.

I am SOOOO happy you are here @Rachel Jefferies. Your designs were among the first ones I discovered last January when I joined TLP for my first MOC and I was blown away by your signature kits and pocket art. Here are the pages I created for this month's challenge - keeping my fingers crossed you pick me as your guest CT...

 

I had fun digging into my stash. This was very cathartic for me. I used Self Esteem by Rachel Jefferies & Crafty Button Designs

 

congrats on your Lilypad Anniversary @Rachel Jefferies. I think this is the first of your kits that I bought from the Lilypad Store. I have numerous older ones in my stash but they are all retired. I've paired the collection with one of your templates from a Mixed Media Monthly kit from last year.

 

Oooo exciting!!! My kids started back to school today so that gives me more time create!

 

Congrats @Rachel Jefferies on your anniversary - can we use retired things too? I mean not that I need to, but considering mixing in some things..

 

I've been following Rachel since she designed at Scrap Orchard. Gosh - thats been a moment. She grows in her artistry - forever true to her design esthetic and muse. Rachel is an artist at heart and I believe we are blessed to get to use her products in our layouts and art.

I don't have a favorite Rachel Jefferies kit - because they are all my favorites! But I am for sure a sucker for her handmade collage backgrounds.

 

Congrats @Rachel Jefferies on your anniversary! With this in mind, I chose two kits - Trust the Journey - Thrive (the first kit I bought when I discovered your amazing art) and Silent Battles - Stress, which I bought a little while ago but never really played with. I love the concept of choosing to thrive despite what is going on around you (or within you) and so for my central image I chose a photo I took of these tiny little daisies (Seaside Daisies I think is there proper name) that grow at the bottom of my stairs. They seem to thrive despite the weather, other plants growing in and around them, and the cat occasionally sleeping on them!

 

ohhhh how much fun to dig through my collection and use some products I haven't used in awhile! thanks Rachel for the challenge!

 

Happy Anniversary Rachel. I have loved your designs since I started scrapping in March 2020. Thanks to you, I feel I am a little bit less fearful about creating digital collages / art journal pieces.

I love Rachel Designs since a long time. I have plenty of captivated visions kits in my stash. Always in my favs.
