I used cards from 3 packs - cut them to fit into the chessboard fields... Mainly from this one:

Three journal cards used, one blended & clipped to a paint mask, another I selected out the word art “Hey Sunshine”, and for the third I clipped it to a photo spot.

Such a fun challenge Anne-Marie! I extracted and cut elements from the Mixed Media Monthly main kit journal cards.

I used 3 different journal cards in unconventional ways for this layout. The first is the word "SEEK", which I extracted from a journal card by Sara Gleason that was included in the TLP collab Life is an Adventure ... unfortunately, that collab isn't in the store, so I can't link a picture. The other 2 journal cards are from Pink Reptile Design's card pack Planes, Trains & Automobiles. I love these cards and I especially LOVE their versatility. I extracted the hot air balloon and jeep, and turned them into elements on the page. I've done this once before with the train for another layout: Girl on the Train.

    Here is my layout:

I used journal cards in several places. First, the black paper along the right hand side is actually an enlarged journal card from this kit by Kristin Aagard. The title word art ("Happy Girl") is also a cutout from a journal card from the same kit.

Finally, the hanging tabs on the top left corner are a cutout from a journal card from this pack by Lynne-Marie:

Thank you for the fun challenge!

Nothing too creative, but I used 12 journal cards in this layout. One of them is blended into the background.

The journal cards all came from the 3 "Treasured" collabs. This is one set:

    How I used cards:
    • Blue "paper" on left side is an oversized card
    • Diamond shape is cut from a card
    • Plaid card as a photo mat
    • JULY word strip is cut from a card
    • 4TH was also cut from a card

I used these cards from Allison Pennington:

Anne-Marie, I had a pivoting weekend and I didn't have time to scrap my layout, but I thank the tutorial and I loved your layout samples and the interesting use of the journal cards, without doubts I'm gonna use your tips in a near future. Congrats to the winners!

Thank you for your kind words. Remember you can still create a page for this challenge just for the fun of it. That is what I did with Justine's Alphabet one as I really was inspired by her challenge and created a page after the week was over.
