This was a great challenge!! Thank you for offering it this month! I was given a couple of names when I was a child that wasn't honoring to me as a person so instead I went a different way. Hope that's okay. I chose to look forward to what my grand and great grans will be calling me, when they can speak. I felt it was more important to focus on the good {future} rather than the past. With my first grandson born, I was asked what I wanted to be called..... it took me a while but I came up with Granby. I like the name. This is a name that my husband had called his grandma. The family doesn't really know why or how she came up with that name so I done an acronym for it. Again, thank you for the challenge.
This was fun. I never really had a nickname, so it was fun to write about my newest and favorite name - Gram.
I've done this many times so didn't think I had anything to say then the lightbulb went off. Thanks for the challenge.
This was fun Thank you for the challenge. I thought of a few different directions, but I really wanted to get this story "on paper", so thanks for pushing me to do it (credits & journaling in gallery - 9 sentences total)
Here's my layout... a bit of humor, a lot of truth... and something I definitely want to remember... Thank you for this wonderful challenge. I wrote about all our family members, but there is a paragraph about me in there too which is definitely longer than seven sentences.
My LO: My story: "I was born on February 15th. Which was my grandma's birthday. She had already been sick for a few years. And so my parents named me after her. She said it was an awesome birthday gift. I don't have active memories of her, just pictures. I love that we share the same birthday and name!"
