I’m going with personal chef because I don’t enjoy cooking and I can never decide what to make for dinner.

With my allergies, it has to be a maid. I don't like cooking either but you can always order out if you don't want to cook.

Maid - I feel like I'd enjoy cooking more if I didn't have to worry about all the cleaning.

I hate cleaning so much - finally caved and got an iRobot vacuum and the mop too. It literally just arrived. I feel behind the times that I am just getting one of these things now. Now if they could just make a robot to clean the tub/shower/tiles/toliet/sink, right?!

Yes. I want a scrub brush thing that's motorized for cleaning the shower.

Yes, bathrooms are the worst! Especially with boys in the house!

I've been wondering about getting an iRobot, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I think I've even seen something that will clean the toilets. I wish I had an automated house like in the Jetsons cartoon that would do it all, cooking, cleaning, take the kids to school! :giggle

oh that would be nice! I count my lucky stars if they hang up their towels or remember to squeegee the glass doors when they shower.

I really, really want to say housekeeper/maid, but it’s going to have to be personal chef. I loved to cook before all of my dietary restrictions; now I have to make two dinners every night and special meals for myself throughout the day. Now I really don’t like cooking anymore, even with my new kitchen!

I've been looking into a robot vacuum as well. Asked my cleaning lady if any of her other clients have one and she said "I do!". And, she emphasized to get one that is self-cleaning. Tad pricey but she said worth every penny as it is easier to empty (her DIL has a non self-cleaning and gripes every time she has to empty it).

I was always hesitant because of dog surprises in the house but she's finally past that phase (better be, she's 4). My cleaning lady said she only runs hers when she's home and she's now to the point she only has to use it maybe 2 sometimes 3 times a week. I think when I get my tax refund I'll get an iRobot (but who knows when that will be... I filed 9 weeks ago!)

I don't need a nanny. I love to cook, and I already have a personal shopper (DH)! So definitely the maid. Boys' bathrooms anyone? :hide

I got one that is self emptying - biggish house and pets, so I didn't want to be emptying it all the time either. It's charging - so we'll see how it goes when it actually starts to clean.

My cleaning lady said it does take time to "train" it and there were misfires while doing so. I think she said she got hers from her kids for Christmas a several years ago. In the beginning she ran it daily if not twice on some days.

Yet, Boys and bathrooms are not a good mix.

I'd have taken all four choices, but personal chef and maid were my top two. If chauffer had been one of the choices, I would have picked it and had the chauffer drive the carpool. :giggle

a chef or just octopus capable of cooking would be great so they could cater to everyones tastes and conditions and i could send complaints to someone else & not get blamed for any or all of the following:
this is just bland, this is too salty/spicy, why are there green bits in this? (read: vegetables and herbs), where is the bacon?... there's probably more but they're the ones in my longterm memory
