Welcome to the May Muse week 4. So far we have gotten a lot of different inspiration from this board. In fact I think it is quite amazing how many things we each saw in it. On the surface it is just a bunch of similar coloured shapes ,with a bit of paint, and a few phrases thrown in -right ? But if you look at all the amazing pages that was posted in the AJ gallery the last 3 weeks That was definitely not the case, it was so much more... However I would love it, if this week you would pair it back to just those basics ..So My challenge to you is this; Be inspired by the shapes and the paint, and if you feel a word or two calling you, write it in, why not ? I can not wait to see what you come up with. This is mine On my page I decided to re visit the grid type page I started with in week 1. But this time adding colour. And lots of painted bits You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. This is for everyone, so have fun and see where the inspiration takes you. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to May 31, 2021 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! As Lisa mentioned last week, every layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 4 layouts you are entered 4 times. You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).
I like it! I was so in to the detail of everything I never stood back to look at the whole...a grid inspired layout! Thank you for stepping in to host an AJ challenge!!! It's awesome.
I agree with Lisa, you thought ‘inside|outside’ the box! I never thought to think of the grid style! Love it! Thank you so much for hosting this week!
Oh love the idea of looking it from "outside" the box!!!!!! Oh let me think, now that I am caught up!
Well, I ended up doing a Pocket Page and using one of my favorite Kits - "Am I Lost". Thanks for the great challenge, Vivi!
I used the square format from the inspiration page for my ATC this week. I "stitched" the blocks down, similar to Nemla's page. I even found a "squarish" mask for the photo.
the shapes inspired me to go hunting in my stash for this old challenge template from the Pink Reptile Designs Blog, @Rikki I then played with this month's Mixed Media Monthly.
