My sister's book club is reading The One by John Marrs and she had an extra copy that she gave to me. I'm half-way through and loving it....AND it's also on Netflix....I'll have to nag my sister to hurry up and read it so we can get together and watch the show. ;)

Thanks for the heads up. We're currently watching "Call The Midwife" but will need something to watch after this ends. I think we have a couple of seasons to go.

I hadn't heard of it until I saw the Netflix promo. Binge watched the last remaining 5 episodes yesterday as it was my first day alone in the house for ages. Really good but << Rebecca sure was a cold bitch! wow I hear there may be a Season 2.>>

Read this at your recommendation - thank you!!!! It was a fun beach read and didn't want to put it down. Now I'm excited to watch the show now and see the characters. Thanks @FarrahJobling

We saw this on Netflix (it was pretty good) but I didn't know it was a book (I much prefer to read the book first) - did the series do the book justice?
The books usually better than the movie to me but so often, the screenplay removes or changes like half the plot or characters!

from my science background I like the genetics ideas...even if they are far fetched. As a book lover, I like the short chapters from multiple perspectives. =)

I'm waiting for my sister to finish the book so we can watch the show, but from my understanding, the show is completely different from the book...same idea though.

Show is completely different and only the premise is the same in my opinion. I preferred the book... as usual. I'm only two in on the series, but don't see the series doing the book justice LOL

We watched the first few episodes of the show but it was so different to the book, I couldn’t be bothered to watch any more. As usual, I much preferred the book
