Happy April! We are moving into spring in my neck of the woods and I have to say that the warmer weather and beautiful blooms have done so much to lift my spirts. In the hopes of brighter days ahead, I'm bringing a little whimsey to this month's inspiration challenge. Our inspiration this month comes from a Sherlock Holmes quote from the book The Adventures of the Mazarin Stone, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Here it is: Life is full of whimsical happenings, Watson. Here are a couple definitions for whimsey in case you need a jump start: 1. extravagant, fanciful, or excessively playful expression 2. an odd or fanciful notion I had one of these moments drop in my lap last week when my oldest daughter asked my youngest to pose for a photo she was composing for a photography assignment. Here's my page: I hope you have fun with this, and I do sincerely hope that we can all stop and recognize more of those whimsical happenings in our lives. Can't wait to see your pages! Gentle Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
My pages seem to change quite a lot during the creation process at the moment. This one started rather differently, and was inspired by your lovely challenge @ashleywb
Thanks for the challenge. My daughter and her BFF had a blast posing for photos and I thought Liz's tag templates added a fun and whimsical vibe too.
