Say you were gonna make a batch of tasty chicken wings.. what are your go to wing sauces? In our household.. Honey BBQ Asian Sweet Chili and Teryiki are our go to wings but I am also a fan of Garlic Parm and something called Hugo (which is a mustard, BBQ and mayo like wing)
I have never made wings - only bought them frozen. but I recently bought an air fryer so I may dabble in giving it a try at some point. I’ll be watching this thread to learn more.
OMG never made wings? *L* gasp... darn.. we have them OFTEN at our house.. ohhh hell.. Asia can down wings like they are going out of style. We buy the jumbo bags from Walmart frozen (they are like $17 for 8lbs).. we can normally get a meal or two out of them if I make a side! I have an air fryer and have tried wings in there.. but .. my favorite way is still baking. I boil them for about 7 mins on a raiped boil on the stove.. in salt water. Than I pat dry and throw them on a large cookie sheet or two and bake on 425 for about 25 mins or a bit longer till nice and crispy on the outside and than toss in our favorite sauces. Real easy and soooo good
I'm a buffalo gal myself Haven't made them in a long time, too. I think I need to remedy that! I like a good lemon pepper seasoning as well.
I made some really awesome garlic parm buffalo ones tonight!!! whole family loved them! so I guess thats means they were a hit!
Do drumsticks /legs count? In that case, it tends to be a BBQ or teriyaki sauce (& I throw cauliflower pieces in it and just stick it all in the oven for an hour-ish
Yeah... I only have made wings once in my life and they weren't great. I guess i should have asked for help here first. I'm not a big fan of touching meat... so there's part of the problem and then when I do branch out, I don't know what I'm doing. My hubby was so disappointed that I didn't like them when I made them because he loves wings. He actually thought they were good, but I just didn't. Poor guy.
yes.. from the big frozen bag! throw in very salty water.. and boil on rapid boil about 7 mins.. than throw on cookie sheet and cook about 25 mins or till cripsy and perfect! toss in yummy sauce and enjoy
I prefer to have my wings deep fried and super crispy, so we usually order them from Publix. I don't like the sauce on the wings because then everything gets soggy, so I ask for it on the side. I love mild buffalo and teriyaki. I'll dip the buffalo wings in ranch after I've dipped them in buffalo sauce.
No wings here. I don't cook them, we don't relish them, maybe it isn't a thing this side of the pond. Chicken is usually ordered with mild lemon and herb or peri peri.
Wing fans here! Buffalo, of course.... Sweet Chili, Maple Chipotle or Maple Siracha, Plain Teriyaki or Pineapple Teriyaki, Garlic Rosemary Parmesan, so many! We like so many.... but the Sweet Chili is our favorite. We use this stuff for out Shrimp Egg Rolls too! SO YUM! It's by World Harbor. They have oodles of flavors. (https://www.mizkan.com/brands/world-harbors-marinades/) they are pry in your grocery. So good for so many meats. Marinade, bake, or air fry and eat. I also like Moore's sauces for wings.
I don't do wings unless they are boneless. Too much work for too little payoff. DH likes them though, so we sometimes buy the frozen bags.
I don’t like to make my own wings. I’m like @Karen about touching little wing bones - oooo. But I do like to get chick-fil-A nuggets with Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo sauce we get at the grocery store. If I go to a wings place - Pizza Hut or Wing Stop - I usually get the original wings with mild Buffalo or lemon pepper.
