January 31: Scrap from your Heart

Already the last day of MOC. I really enjoyed this month!
For the Challenge today. I had this day right in mind!
The boat we normally take when visiting the grandparents wasn't open because of Covid. So we found ourself an other (much longer) way. But we enjoyed the trip! We saw things and places we wouldn't have seen otherwise.
But what made this visit so much more precious is, that we needed courage to go on vacation, because of all the rules, but until today it was the last time we saw the grandparents... So I treasure it even so much more now!

and just like that MOC 9 is completed................

 

I happened to take 2 photos last March at church (during the morning service and leaving after kids' choir practice in the evening) on what would become our final time physically inside the church until ... who knows when. Over 10 months later and services are online or socially distanced outside.

 

this was one of the last visits with my husband's grandmother before her passing

 

A lovely way to end the Month of Challenges.
My mother, circa 1930's. She had me when she was almost 40, so I never knew her as a young woman... She passed away in 2000.

 

I have so many faded memories that have no reminders too. So I have empty frames, "white space", and blank journal tags to represent that in my page.

 

Missing the days of full classrooms, group work, noise, and chaos

 

oh man, wasn't expecting to get emotional this morning! For once I didn't feel I needed to journal to say what I thought I needed to say
