Keeping it simple can be so freeing! 3 papers (background, behind photos, and title) and 2 paints (top left and bottom right). Thanks so much for the challenge!!
I used four papers and four different paints. I repeated the paints as needed. My title is clipped with the same white-ish paper that I used in the background. This was a fun challenge. Thank you!
No embellishment!!! That was certainly a challenge. The circular Christmas memories is font Bacon Sandwich on a text path with watercolour paint style applied. Title is Autolinker font, duplicated, blue paper clipped to one and white paper clipped to the other, this being slightly offset with shadow applied. There are five papers (seven if you count the two blended for the background and the white on the title) and four different paint drips/splatters.
Here's my layout for today's challenge to use only papers & paints, created with Paula Kesselring's Winter Day elements, papers & wordart. I used 6 papers and 2 paint splats (1 splat used twice, the other used once). The title is painted wordart. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/01_28-paper-paint.461313/
2 papers - white and green. 2 splatters of paint. Papers also added to both titles. Both halves posted separately in the gallery.
I used 3 different papers for this. The background is a patterned woods and the 2 additional patterned papers on the left. I chose that background since I thought the trees even look painted. I have a total of 5 paints, plus the alpha which is a painted stamped alpha - I hope that works.
It's gloomy here this morning and the grey ourside inspired me to ceate this layout. I used four papers - background, two blocks of patterned/textured paper and the black strips in the top left hand side corner (the vertical ones are the same paper as one of the blocks) three different paint strokes - the blob in the corner, the stroke underlining the title and the horisontal stripes on paper blocks (same paint clipped to shape). title - background paper cliped to font. The rest is one photo 'cut' into pieces. Hopefully this fits the challenge criteria.
25 papers | 14 paint splatters/watercolors; I spent a bit of time using the dodge/burn tools to create some depth to the layers (not 100% sure I achieved that, lol)
It was nice to not try to come up with lots of embellishments. It's a good reminder to keep it simple. I love how it turned out.
I used 7 papers and 4 paints. I used a font (Japanese Brush Regular). Changed one of the papers to black & white. Hope I got it right! Fun challenge! Thank you! Credits in gallery
