In A5 you do it the same way as PSE. Create a text box for each letter. Flatten each letter separately. Then stretch and manipulate each letter to fit into the shape. Then either create a "shape" cutter (Use the outliner to copy the shape you used, then right click - shape - save as - to then be able to use it in the "shape" cutter) or use the custom cutters in the cut tab to cut off anything that hangs off the edge.
Suzanne is correct, if you want to add a paper to your letter, unclip them, merge them, clip the paper to the letter layer, merger the paper and then clip the new papered letters onto the shape. Thanks for your help Suzanne!
@amandac Do we have to use the free shapes, or can we use any of Liz's shape templates that are currently in the store? (I'm thinking a state one for my page.)
This is what I did too in Artisan, with the extra set of using the outlined tool once every this was the size I wanted it to be so that I could adjust the edges of the letters to fit the shape better.
For me, this was the hardest challenge untill now! Whatever I tried, it just wasn't working. So thank you @Iowan for your example! I made a screenshot and built it up piece by piece to (sort of) match yours. So weird to look at these pictures! Everything was just starting then! It was scary and exciting and all those different feelings, things to learn, newspapers (online) were been read day and night... Laughing with all those toiletpaperhoarders (we bought 20 rolls two weeks before, just because there was a great discount, whahaha), crying with all the schoolwork that wouldn't get ready on time. Never ever heard of Zoom, masks were for doctors, we didn't have 'knuffelcontacten' (1 cuddle person allowed) or 'bubbles', curfew was only for kids and every day mails from cancelled events/vacation. But we enjoyed the sunshine, dad at home and too much food and fresh baked bread (now we are doing keto )
this was fun once i figured it out. i have never done this but will do again and thanks for the shapes
What a great technique! I will have to remember to use this one. Only issue I couldn't figure out was how to "remove the shape" once I clipped the letters into it. I see others have figure this out but I couldn't so I just clipped another paper to fill the shape. Thanks.
