I doodle a ton in real life but rarely incorporate doodles into my pages. I definitely think I'll play around with the doodles some more to create different looks, I'm loving the inspiration in this thread already, especially the die-cut looks... but for now I kept it pretty simple. I really want to get the rest of the girls 2nd Birthday scrapped before they turn 3 at the end of this month!
Thank you for the doodles gift! This challenge took me out of my comfort zone and I'm so inspired seeing how differently everyone is using the doodles Here's my page...
just in case someone with Affinity wants to recolour the doodles, here is a tutorial I wrote a while ago for colouring stamps and brushes - same process for the black doodles. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/affinity-tutorial-colouring-stamps-and-brushes.74844/
I'm off to bed in a second, i'll pop back in the (Aussie) morning - i've commented on some pages and am impressed by how different every page is using the same doodles as a starting point!

I've been attending some Affinity digital art classes, and have used this opportunity to practice the colourist "flatting technique" and using marker brushes on the face doodle.
Good Morning! Oh, I LOOOOOVE this challenge! And it is on a Saturday- how great is that?!! Thanks, Justine!
I love doodles and don't use them often enough. Thanks, Val, for the Oh fun ones. Of course, doodles always give me a light hearted feeling so quite naturally I chose to do a tongue-in-cheek layout for this challenge.
Doodles and Magic Lights together must be some type of spell to me! I loved the fun, thank you to Little Butterfly Wings for the fun doodles and Bellbird for the intriguing and stretching challenge!
