Hello scrappy friends and welcome to day 4 of MOC 9!!! I'm super excited to be hosting today's fun challenge titled FLOWER POWER. The goal of today's challenge is to create a layout filled with lots of FLOWERS!! First, I want to show you the paper layout I used as inspiration for this challenge: For this challenge, your layout must contain these items and minimal other elements: - A background paper - A single photo - Optional title element - Optional date - Optional journaling - Over 20 flowers (although I encourage you to fill the page with many more)in at least four different colors Additional Clarifications: - The flowers may be dispersed all over the canvas, in one big cluster or multiple clusters. - You may used solid-colored or multi-colored flowers as long as I can see a four different colors represented. - You can use a flowered background paper, but it does not count as part of your 20 flowers. Here is a layout I created myself using these rules and the paper layout as inspiration: And here's another layout created by Polly Seattle Sherri. As you can see here, she has her flowers in a cluster and used a flowered background paper. LOVE!! In addition to the individual rules for this challenge, please follow our overall guidelines: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). If you use product from other stores, your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers). I can't wait to see what you create!!
Saving this spot to answer any questions... You may add greenery to your flowers. I am allowing other elements such as stamps, string, etc. as long as they are kept at a minimum. I will leave that up to your best interpretation, but asking that you keep in mind that the ultimate spirit and goal of this challenge is to have an abundance of beautiful, colorful flowers on your page.
love this challenge - definitely the most flowers i've ever used on a page, i stopped counting at 24 (ETA: the background paper is a kraft that has bubble paint down the sides, linked in gallery description; the flowers that have centres were made that way (eg, the newspaper ones top left and just below the photo with the string and metal button)
@dailydwelling Oh dear, this will definitely be a challenge! I see various tags, splatters, bows and more. How do they fit with "no other elements"? Are they allowed or only greenery and flowers?
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I am noticing that, too, and am changing the rules to "minimal" other elements. The spirit of the challenge is to have a layout bursting with flowers. I hope that helps as you are creating your page.
This was easy so far I used only floral elements, one has script in it, one has a little splatter. Also... is the frame okay? Thank you for this challenge, which is totally up my alley
I used over 40 flowers all from the one bundle. Added in ribbons, splat leaves and butterflies... hopefully didn't overdo the "minimal" requirement. This is a scraplift of a layout by Paige Evans.
