@bestcee That's wonderful about the sourdough! My first loaf was pretty bland, but I think it's coming along. I made my starter from scratch so I'm wondering if that had something to do with it. It's becoming more flavorful over time. I look forward to seeing pictures of your loaves if you post any! @cookingmylife What is a "TN layout"?
You are brave! I ordered King Arthurs starter because I was not confident in starting my own. My first one was pale, but I forgot to flour the top before baking.
@PhotoLilyLori TN is a Travelers Notebook size layout often in a 4"x8" size. It's used in paper layouts, hybrid and digital. No surprise....I'm going digital! Here's an array... https://the-lilypad.com/store/Traveler-s-Notebooks/
@bestcee I love King Arthur Baking. Your loaves look great, even if pale! I like your slashes too - I tried to get too fancy with mine on my last loaf and it developed a big ole belly in the oven. LOL! @cookingmylife Thank you for the TN explanation, and the link! I'm a pretty tried-and-true 12x12 digital scrapper so I don't think I could make the jump, but I look forward to seeing what you come up with (and at least learning about styles other than 12x12 even if I never give them a try myself. )
