This month, we have focused on using overlays. In the chats, we discussed the types of overlays, when to use them, and even have a link to a freebie (which might have expired?). Check out the thread here: DECEMBER LEAP

Continuing with that theme, today's slow scrap will focus on using an overlay.

    *********************************
Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

You have 24 hours to complete your LOs....they are due December 20 at 12pm Eastern
    *********************************

    Instructions:
    1. Start with a blank LO
    2. Choose a photo...keep in mind that step 3 will be to add an overlay
    3. Add an overlay to your photo *shocking*

    ------
    4. For the rest of the LO....make a LO you love, but please include at least THREE of the following ingredients (minimum of 3 total...not 3 of each....LOL):
    -Background paper
    -Element Cluster
    -Tag
    -Journaling
    -Title
    -Date
-A method of holding something down (staple, stitches, etc...)
    -Paint, gesso, stain
    -Journal Card
-anything else I might have forgotten ;)

    5. Please add a comment in the thread with what overlay you used.

thank you for teaching this technique Farrah, and for the chats.
Here's my page. My photo was very meh. It was just flat white really, but the air moves and is rather pretty. I used some fog overlays to add some much needed drama/life into the photo.

My focus is my December Daily so I used Amy Wolff's Glitter Overlays to make a page to go in my album for Day 18. I am going to put a physical number 18 on the bottom left of my page. Thanks for the tuts and the chat.

Well, I did it again. This a.m. I was watching last night's Diana episode (Dateline). I looked up at the clock and it was 10:55 a.m. And the chat started at 10:00 a.m. my time. Sorry, Farrah...

Here is my layout. The snow overlay came from Little Butterfly Wings, Jingle all the Way.

I used a picture that I had taken of the snow, but it wasn't snowing in this picture. I used Paula Kesselring's Season's Greetings Snowflakes Overlays on my picture. Fun challenge.
