This month, we have focused on the darkness. In the chats, we discussed shooting in low light conditions and converting photos to Black and White. Check out the thread here: NOV LEAP

Continuing with that theme, tonight's slow scrap will focus on the darkness. How often do you scrap with a black or even a dark background paper? I rarely use anything other than a blank white canvas or a neutral paper. So I'm ready to step out of my comfort zone! Join me?

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

You have 24 hours to complete your LOs....they are due November 19 at 10pm Eastern
    *********************************

    Instructions:
    1. Let's start with the photo. I'd like you to use a photo that is EITHER- shot in low lighting conditions OR one that you've converted to Black and White...or both =)

    2. Open a new BLACK canvas. Whatever size you'd like to use is great...but it has to be BLACK

    3. Add some paint onto the black background...it will really stand out!

    4. Add your photo and make sure it has a frame.

    5. Add a title or quote/journaling.

    6. Add at least 3 additional elements.

    7. **optional** If you REALLY hate the black background, you can add a DARK background paper....can be brown, gray or navy.

I couldn't decide if I prefer the BW photo or in Color:

Thanks for the fun directions! I almost never use a black background and I can see how it makes things stand out.

sorry for not attendig the chat, now the time changed and it's late for me...but I enjoyed the challenge!
I used a selfie taken in low light, inside the car and garage, and converted to B&W. We had to go vote for mayor on last sunday, my city is by the beach and has a lighthouse, so this pack was perfect to document this!
