Inspiration can be literally everywhere but what do you rely on most to create your pages? Having gone thru my stash recently and considering my gallery for the last year , i think the scrappy things i rely on most for creating are: 1. wordart to guide which photos out of literally millions i pull to use & help me tell the story and avoid title overthinking, 2. templates for a design idea or road map on where to put 'stuff' on my blank page; & 3. texture - be it from papers or elements, as long as there's something kinda bumpy or raised up & shadowed on there, it feels like a scrapbook page to me
1. Photos (so then I can decide which kit I need) 2. Color (based on the photos) 3. journaling/WA OR a template--which tells me where to journal and/or where to add the title/WA lol But sometimes I just have an idea and I searched my stash for the items I need. I wish I were such a linear-thinker but I could easily grab a photo and know exactly what I need in order to scrap it, but I'm not that good LOL.
1. templates or a scraplift 2. Word Art 3. Something with texture, usually either paint or stitching And a sneaky number 4.....styles, at the bare minimum shadow styles
1 .Photos preferably my own, good, bad or indifferent, (in quality ) but they are mine, and there is a reason I snapped them . 2. It used to be elements, but now it is papers . Textured, splattered, plain ( and at the moment dark ) 3. Brushes /stamps like Jenifer I am sneaking in a fourth; challenges
Photos Templates Challenges At any one time one of those three is the primary driver of the choices made for the other two.
Challenges Templates Pictures Side note: I used to always start with the pictures. That was pre-Art Journaling (which I absolutely love) and I never had used templates. (Confession, I didn't really know HOW to use a template correctly a few years ago.) Challenges definitely get me charged up.
Photos Templates (based on how many photos I want to work with) Papers (based on what will work with the photos)
@bestcee I love your choices as long as I can add color to #3 with texture and challenges to #2 with templates. That makes the perfect recipe to keep me scrapping.
1. photos I have 2. stories/thoughts I want to remember 3. challenges and tutorials from TLP I'm not sure I understand the intention of the question. Above answers are for my first understanding, telling what inspires our scrapping. But if you mean to ask what digital elements we use the most then . . . 1. paper 2. word art 3. scatters
Good point so for the first 1 Photos 2 stories 3 challenges For the second 1. papers 2. Frames 3. Word Art
Templates for photo/s Papers -usually textured solids then stuff...which I call all the elements! but very few usually
1. Recent photos, unless I have a project like DD's 21st when I might pull older photos 2. creative team requirements 3. Lilypad challenges
