ETA: Congratulations to the winner of this fun game... crazsquaw!
Check your conversation for your prize! :agree

Hello and happy almost Halloween everyone! If you've been around here at The Lilypad for any length of time and have participated in any of our parties, you'll probably know that I usually host a Scavenger Hunt through the store for each of those parties. I'll post a tiny peek from a product preview and then you have to tell me the designer and the product name. Well... last year for Halloween Bash, Justine had the super fun idea of letting YOU GUYS making us (the Pollys) do the scavenger hunt! :happydance :happy

    Here's how it works:
    • You download the template HERE (includes both psd and png forms)
    • Find a product in the KITS section of the store (must be currently available in the store)
    • Copy and paste your kit preview (do not resize) into the template and save your own product peek as a .jpg
    • Post that product peek here in this thread and the Pollys have until the end of the Halloween Bash (by 11:59 ET on October 25th) to find that product in the store.
    • If you stump us, you get a chance to win a $5 prize. I will draw one random winner from all those who stump us.
    • Even if you just play along, you get a chance to win a $3 prize! How's that for fun!?!?!

    How to add your
    product peek in this thread:
All you have to do is hit 'post reply' in this Stump the Pollys Game thread and click 'upload a file' (next to 'post reply') to attach your hexagonal scavenger hunt peek!

You can play and post a new hexagon peek every day of this Halloween Bash, giving you a total of 3 chances to Stump the Pollys and get multiple entries in the random draw!
    • We know Halloween can be a busy time so You can play 2 ways!
    • You can EITHER post 1 scavenger hunt peek per day for the duration of the Bash, OR all 3 of your scavenger hunt peeks at once, but please put them in separate replies to this thread so we don't accidentally miss any of them.

Deadlines & Prizes: All your scavenger hunt peeks must be submitted by 9pm EDT Sunday October 25th in order to give the Pollys across time zones time to play.

More Detailed Instructions to create your snippet/peek:

    • To create your "Stump the Pollys" peek, simply click and download the Hexagon Template and open it in your program.
    • Then go find a kit preview in the store, open the kit page (so you are not just grabbing the thumbnail image) and right click on it and "Copy Image".
    • Next go into your program and "Paste" that preview in the template and clip it to the hexagon shape. Move the preview around to find the portion you want the Pollys to see and then "Save As" a .jpg. Don't zoom in or out with the copied preview, just paste it as it is.
    • Once you have created your "peek" reply to this thread and use the handy "Upload a File" button right next to "Post Reply". Select your peek and insert it into a reply here. Easy peasy!

Here's a quick one I made with these instructions:
the October 2019 M3 main kit
    HBash2019-Hexagon-Template-meDemo-visual.jpg

There is also a .png version of the hexagon shape for those who don't use .psd files and if a .png won't work simply create a file that is 233 pixels wide x 207 pixels high and drop your preview in there. This should mean whatever program you use, you can create a scavenger hunt clue and play along!

The fine print for fair play - Rules for the Pollys:
    • Pollys have until the end of Halloween Bash to submit their guesses for each scavenger hunt peek. The deadline for Polly guesses is 11:59pm EDT Sunday October 25th.
    • Pollys will submit their guesses by using "quote post" for the clue they are guessing to avoid confusion. This will also send the person that submitted that specific clue a notification & they may come back & reply to the Polly's guess to let them know how they went, although they do not have to & will still qualify for inclusion in the random draws.
    • Each Polly may make multiple guesses per peek.
    • The Pollys are considered 'stumped' if at the end of the Halloween Bash, a member's clue has not been correctly identified. After the game is closed, we will tag members that supplied the 'Stumper' clues to reveal what they were and identify the previews that stumped the Pollys!
