I know a lot of you are pulling out your Fall decor but I'm feeling glad that we've had a few days in a row that are warm enough that I can wear thongs/flipflops/jandals without it feeling like my toes are gonna freeze and fall off. I don't tend to follow trends much but I love that they never go out of style either!

So my fill in the blank for today is "____never goes out of style".
Enjoy the rest of your Friday/weekend!

Lol What you call flip-flops in the US, I call thongs & in NZ they call them jandals - in a recent interview, Ed Sheeran apparently mentioned said he wanted to move to New Zealand, and the NZ Prime Minister who is very social media savvy & has a great sense of humour among other admirable qualities, made a video message the other week & addressed him specifically & said there were some important questions before she could grant anyone permission to live in NZ & knowing what jandals were was one of them - there's some trivia for you!

And, when I was growing up what you think of as thongs were not even a thing! I'm not even sure bikini underwear were around. So thongs to me are what flip flops are to you :giggle

I guess I really do live outside of high fashion... I just googled bikini underwear and read a whole history on the bikini swimsuit which led to bikini underwear! Although what they call bikini's back in the 40's were what I knew of as a 2 piece bathing suit growing up. Bikini underwear became fashionable in the 1960's because of low rise jeans and pants. Since I wasn't wearing low rise jeans in the 60's I didn't know about bikini underwear! (Just had a discussion elsewhere about when jeans/pants could be worn to school. 1972/1973 the dress code started allowing that but dresses/skirts were still worn quite a bit by girls).
