Step 1. Choose from Air, Earth, Fire, or Water. This will be the theme for your page. Make it obvious that this is your theme. This can be a title or highlighted words in journaling. Step 2. Represent order. Use one clean lined frame or stroke. No frilly/fancy edges on the frame, just straight sides. Your page does not need to have a photo. Step 3. Add chaos with paint, at least 3 different paints. Step 4. Add thread and/or stitches. Maybe we're healing, maybe a big jumble of thread represents the mess this theme has caused. Step 5. You must have at least 3 complete sentences of journaling, in English (or provide a translation). Step 6. Use a scatter. Was I thinking of the movement of the wind? Maybe. Then, add whatever you need to make this page yours. Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery, under Speed Scraps. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed. Please also link that page in this thread. AJ Slow scrap with Jess 09/12/2020 All pages must be posted by 8:30am PDT on 09/13/2020. Thanks! Here are mine! I went with fire & water.
Jess! This morning I so needed time to create for just the fun of creating! I feel like this was bubbling in my very being, and each step made me relax more and just have fun. I sit here in my fluffy robe, coffee and smiling! Thank you!
I know it is a slow scrap, but this one just came.. Thanks I needed air quite literally, so this was great.
Wow! And done! I loved this - not sure how much I will do of AJ, but willing to give it another try! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks @jesskab for the challenge and chat! I titled mine Fire Burns because I didn't use the word in my journaling.
Dang! I had this on my calendar, and I was at home, in the kitchen with DH. He decided he wanted Mexican rice along with his fajita for lunch. He didn't know how to use the food processor, so I had to step in. I think he purposely plays dumb... LOL! Copying the instructions for the slow scrap, am hoping I can get a page done.
Thanks for the chat and scrap. Not sure it is too art journally but it is the story I wanted to tell. Scrapping is like my digital diary so story is primary. I am so happy to have told the story of such a phenomenal event.
I choose water. Although the paper had paint on it, I added my paint as well in the blue drops, orange and gray.
Thank you for the inspiration. I hope I did it right. I chose air (hence all that white space, which is the complete opposite of my scrapping style!). I managed to add the word air in my journaling too, and it reads: "I wish this quote (With brave wings she flies) was true about me. It's not. I've never been brave; I’ve always been scared to try, always afraid to stand out. But I can feel it in the air. Autumn is a season of change. I need to change. It won't be easy, but it's worth it."
