From my trip home to Spokane last year... We LOVED the Worlds Fair in 1974! This is the old clock tower in Spokane... It was once a part of the terminal building for the trains that used to gather at this spot. Long since moved to another location the rail yards in downtown Spokane were re purposed in 1974 For the World’s Fair... They converted the land along the Spokane river into a location for the Fair. It was a huge part of my family’s life.. We all had season passes, and Chris was just a toddler.. Many happy hours spent there. This venue underwent an extensive refurbishing project that finished up in mid 2019... Just before my Sept. visit...Prior to this it was already a favorite place to go to relax or play.. a HUGE asset to Spokane’s downtown scene... The Clock Tower was preserved as a piece of history! fyi Chris is my youngest!
Happy Birthday, Karen. I hope it has been a wonderful birthday for you - all month long. Thank you for the journaling prompt.
