Chip chip hooray, it's national chocolate chip cookie day! I like my chocolate chip cookies to be cooked through but still soft with the chocolate ooey and gooey. Then I dunk them in a tall glass of milk... YUM! How do you like your chocolate chip cookies and do you like to dunk them in milk too?
Oh my goodness!! What a blessed day, LOL! I always asked for CCC batter for my birthday but Mom never approved, HA! Drink the milk with them, no dunking.
I really like chocolate chips right out of the oven, but when it comes to store bought, I prefer the crunchier ones. I don't like the soft store bought ones. I also love the frozen dough, especially the kind the kids sale for fundraisers that come in the little pieces. Sometimes I just pull those out and eat them right out of the freezer! And I'll pass on the milk, thanks
OK i'm gonna say it - has someone added some kind of national cookie day to the calendar every month?! i feel like these chatty topics are always making me think about biscuits!
Oh my gosh Carol! @Iowan That is so funny! We all love the Tollhouse recipe of CCC in our family... cooked just enough so the edges are crunchy, but the centers are softer. and I learned that the secret is what kind of butter/margarine you use. I used to use Imperial margarine and they'd turn out awful. If I use Fleischman's margarine or regular butter they turn out amazing. I personally don't drink milk with mine, but my oldest and my hubby MUST have milk with theirs.
oh yes, yum! we love pizookies! I buy the nestle ccc dough and we make them with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Two weeks ago, my mom let my son eat raw cookie dough (the refrigerated no-eggs kind) and it has rocked. his. world. He has talked about it every day since then & even managed to talk his grandmother into buying one for him to take home to our house. He was SHOCKED when I told him that raw cookie dough was not a brand-new invention and that even I, his super-old lame mom, had eaten raw cookie dough before.
I like mine just like the ones from @Carla Actually I like the ones my friend Janie makes and every time I used to go for an energy work session she would often take one or two out of the freezer for me to eat on my drive home. Sadly none this year ...@&^^!%! Covid! What I do love is frozen cookie dough - any brand. I may now go buy some tomorrow! I'm too lazy to make a real recipe but when I did it was the standard Toll House. But I also ate them all or REALLY wanted to!
