Welcome to August!! I am honored to be hosting the August Inspiration Challenge. While we may all be spending more time at home, and not getting out as much, we can still find things to take pictures of. [It is also a great time to look through your stash of photos and find something you haven't scrapped yet!] This month's challenge will be inspired by a quote. I have always loved quotes, and this one has always made me smile. I want you also to be inspired by it too! Here is the quote & word art that we will use for inspiration: For me, I was inspired by the black and white colors of the image, the camera references, and the word focus. Here is my page: (credits: all supplies noted in gallery) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The instructions are simple… 1) Your page must contain at least 1 photo 2) You must include a Camera on your page 3) Your page must include something from the quote that inspired you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always: your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges' the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I am excited to see your pages! Have fun!
I captured the Blacks and whites(grays) in the photos and the feel of the quote. Capturing the Good Times
The entire quote made me think of my conversations with DH about focus and clearing the mind of negativity after a bad shot. So I extracted DH and grandson from a cluttered background to create this fun layout.
I was inspired to "Capture" the moment...even though when the kids move out I get sad and miss them. Their progress and success is to be celebrated!
I was inspired by the dusty chalk background and the quote, "...if things don’t work out, just take ANOTHER shot!”
I was inspired by focusing on what's important, ie. the beauty that is all around us in a chaotic and often ugly world. Thanks for the quote and this fun challenge!
My inspiration from the quote was about developing from the negative and taking another shot. My journaling tells about how I had to re-walk the gardens to get some photos I missed the first time (because I need closure like that - can't miss anything!) Thanks for the fun challenge!
great inspiration, thank you. I went with this part of the quote: "just focus on what's important" - for me family being together is so important, and Covid lockdown has made wider family being together so difficult if not impossible.
even in times like this, it's important to register the moments...we only went to the zoo, because we planned ourselves, we went on a week day to be a safe day out, and if there were too many people, we would never enter! And masks, always!
I was inspired by the blacks/grays/whites AND the general feel of the quote- this pic is one of my favorites & most random but makes me smile every time!
