Hi Everyone, It’s August and with it comes a whole new set of challenges. This month I’m hosting the PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE and its a fun one! We are going to be showcasing PANORAMIC PHOTOS. For those of you that have never taken a Panoramic shot, they are so addictive and completely fun to shoot. Most smart phones have the PANO feature so definitely have a play with it. If you don’t have that feature don’t despair, I have created this quick basic tutorial on how to make one from your regular landscape or portrait shots. CHALLENGE CRITERIA: Take a new Panoramic photo or crop a newly taken landscape or portrait shot to emulate a panoramic image and create a page showcasing your Panoramic shot. Here is my page. I decided to take a PANORAMIC of the front of our home. Its the before shot before our renovations start in a few short weeks. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the AUGUST Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). So go forth have some fun taking those extra long shots in and around your neighbourhood, within your own home or of a recent outing. Or alternatively use the cheat sheet above and start cropping your very own PANORAMIC shot. Em x
What a super idea for a challenge. I took some photos this morning when we went for a swim. Google photo did two for me automatically ..... nice
Interesting way to get a panoramic. I took this on my iPhone while waiting at an intersection for lights to change - loved the cloud formations.
OK, I seriously scraplifted @disneysheryl65 's layout above: I had the same number of photos and no great ideas! Thanks for the inspiration!
