Blush, Thank you. I credit my parent's encouragement and support very early on. :)

Hmm, my watercolor isn't lose at all, I just prefer the paint properties to acrylics. Here's a couple recent exercises I've done with some skillshare classes I took.

Here's a painted hand lettering project I made for my Mom-super Potter fan that she is. I want to do this one again as I'm much better now than I was at this time.

I make cards and altered books, ATC’s, etc. I’m in an art club so each month we have different projects. BUT, nothing like everyone else. The art y’all have shown is AMAZING!

wow lots of amazing artwork ladies - love it.

I need to take some photos of my pre-digital camera paintings that I still own one day soon. A layout I just saw in the gallery reminded me of one of my oil paintings I did before Tj was born. I had to quit oils once she was mobile. Oil paintings take so long to dry and are toxic when wet. "Do not touch" for that length of time is far too tempting and a protential disaster with small children around. I could probably start with them again one day now they are a lot older and we live in a much bigger house. When the oil paints went away I discovered digital art, then when working with Cilenia Curtis I discovered mixed media collage and got addicted to it. She coached me for a few years and it was so cool.

This is one of my early mixed media pieces

I volunteer as a community artist and have created works for school education projects and holiday clubs. This piece of scenery is on two large pieces of wood that were later joined with hinges so it's mobile for a travelling Experience Easter exhibition that tours local schools. It's for the Garden of Gethsemane scene. Done with acrylics applied with a pallet knife, and collage. There's shimmer in the paint used for the moon, but that doesn't show on the photo.

nope...I learned when I retired that I don't like the mess or the waiting time for so much physical art. I love the feeling of File Saved and done!

Oh golly, I've had that for so long - it seems like I might have gotten it at Michael's - I know I had to order it when I got it. have you checked Amazon?

PS I just took it off the wall and looked on the back to see if there was any information on it - no, :(

    Thank you!

I took to the doodles/zentangles right away . . . it's very escapist for me. I think there are so many forms of art . . . just finding the thing that makes you disappear and emerge relaxed and recharged is a blessing!
