Alright fellow book lovers! We have a bunch of fabulous suggestions for our next batch of books to read together and now it's time to vote! We need to narrow our choices down to four books, so you may vote for your top four choices in the poll list. Here are links to the books we are voting on:

    1. The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
    2. The River by Peter Heller
    3. Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist's Quest to Discover If Her Life Makes Her Ass Look Big, or Why Pie Is Not the Answer by Jen Lancaster
    4. The Flat Share by Beth O'Leary
    5. Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson
    6. So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo
    7. Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
    8. 28 Summers by Elin Hildebrand
    9. The Guest List by Lucy Foley

I will leave the voting open until June 29th and the top four vote getters will be our next books to read in July, August, September and October. Or really whenever you get to them. :giggle

I voted without checking availability at my library. I noticed many of them are very new though which means they'll be less available I bet. I'll go check now, and put holds on them if they have long wait times.

So, Before I Let You Go only had 3 people requesting it, but 28 Summers and So You Want To Talk About Race each had about 35 people requesting them! I put holds on all of them. :)

We have our next batch of books! I picked 5 since we had a tie for the last one. :agree

July - Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
August - 28 Summers by Elin Hildebrand
September - The Flat Share by Beth O'Leary
October - The River by Peter Heller
November - The Guest List by Lucy Foley

I tried to shuffle some around and put older books first because I know it'll take longer to get some of the newer books from our libraries, but as always, feel free to read these in any order you like! I have holds on the ones I can and am eagerly awaiting some news books to read!

I did read Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson in January (the old days when I could have 'paper books') and my review was "A 1 day read. Funny as all get out and yet tender too." 4 stars

I have to have a good look at the others! and put some holds on them.

Aw, bummer my nomination didn't make it. And I'm very sad So You Want To Talk About Race didn't get more votes. I will be reading it anyway.

Let me know what you think. We can have a mini book club on the side. :D I'm currently reading Becky Chambers' fourth book. And last, so far. I hope she's writing more!
