Hi everyone! Welcome to May! I get to host my favorite challenge - journaling. I know some don't care for the journaling, but I love to read the words behind the story. One of my favorite things to do is capture the actual conversation. For me, it takes me back to a moment when I can hear the person talking in their vernacular. Your challenge is easy: Include in your journaling at least three lines of dialogue. Here is my page: When we went to Universal Studios, munchkin got the magic wand that let him cast spells. A passerby was astonished - literally. I captured our conversation as we waited in line because I thought it was so funny! She didn't understand how munchkin made the frog open. The conversation journaling: The passerby gasped. "Wait! How'd he do that?" she asked astonished. "Magic." I replied, smiling. She looked at the frog, at him, at me, and at the frog again. "No, really. How'd he do that?" she asked again. "He cast the magic spell. He's a wizard." I replied as we walked away. She continued to stare at the window as the frog closed again. The rules are simple: Scrap a page that includes at least three lines of actual dialogue. Preferably between people, but if you have figured out talking to animals like Dr. Doolittle, I think we would all enjoy that too! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).

At first I had trouble thinking of any conversation to scrap but after seeing @cfile's layout today on Ireland's Blarney Castle it brought by a funny memory of our visit and conversation there. Thanks, Christa, for the memory jogger.
Thanks for the challenge and the opportunity to scrap a funny conversation between my daughter and grandson.
