Hi - its one or the other so both photos should be of people or both photos should be of a single subject non-human (dog or otherwise).

the things in parenthesis...are those just suggestions, or, for instance does it have to be a newspaper print mat?

they are references back to the sample layouts for clarification - you do not need to do anything in parenthesis

    Too much crazy for me.

Actually, I couldn't even get through reading the instructions, I was so confused! Kudos to those of you that can handle it!

INSTRUCTIONS (alternative format if you found my original post confusing)
Pick either A or B for each instruction...

1A. Have two photos, those photos should contain a single subject that is non-human.
1B. Have two photos, those photos should contain multiple subjects all human.

2A. For the two photos, mat them on a common mat.
2B. For the two photos, place a frame around them.

3A. For the background papers have two large pattern papers stacked with a narrow border showing of the bottom paper all around the page.
3B. For the background papers have have multiple patterned papers peeking in from both the top and bottom of the page with a solid paper background.

4A. Have a single fleece/felt flower in a neutral color.
4B. Have a single fleece/felt flower in a bright color.

5A. Have a button on the side of one of the photos.
5B. Do not use any buttons.

@tpbuffy Can the frame be a stroke or does it have to be an actual element?

Are we free to add other elements, or just stick to what's listed here?

    I used Liz's Photo Cluster #6 (minus 2 photos).

    1B - 2 photos>multiple people in both
2A - Mat both photos with a common single mat
3B - Solid background with paper pieces at top & bottom
4B - Single bright felt flower
5B - No buttons at all

First time through the directions I felt lost, but I think this is it - even without the twist for extra time! I just came across these old photos today (from 2011). My choices for the directions - 1B, 2B, 3A, 4B, 5A.I kept the rest pretty simple. :) Credits in the gallery.
