This April finds us in challenging times. I think that most of us around the world are in various states of lockdown or quarantine; some under shelter in place orders and others simply cautioned to limit interactions with others. We have had to be creative in our time spent with others and intentional to maintain connections. For this month's random challenge I would like you to create a page about staying connected. How are you maintaining and advancing your relationships in these crazy days? Who is it important for you to connect with? Are you using technology or reverting to snail mail? There are no other parameters here - your page can have photos or not, lots of journaling or a little, be any style you like. Just create a page with the theme of staying connected. Here's my page: I'm looking forward to seeing your pages all about connection. Gentle Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Sigh. Was hoping this month's challenges would veer away a bit from the topic we are seeing everywhere we go. Thanks anyway for your time and effort in this challenge!
Not sure if I will get it scrapped but I will for sure share because staying connected is important. I have been sending cards to people in my scrappy groups and in my life groups. I've even had the children make cards and send them to family (as part of art for school)
There were several LOs I could have made relating to this theme! Here's the one I chose. Credits: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galle..._04-20_stayingconnected_churchalazoom.429597/
Aww, I'm sorry. I was hoping this would highlight one of the more positive aspects of what we are living through. But, I understand your sentiment.
My friend Steph and I would usually see each other several times a week, for now we are video chatting and sharing some streaming services. We have almost a list of topics that we run through every day, but as our watching has increased it seems to be dominating conversations. Also warrants a call just to say "watch this one!" LOL
@ashleywb Can the theme of being connected be a layout that is not about COVID-19 or current connectedness? In other words, can I do a page from the past that is about staying connected?
