I played around with a very simple stitch brush yesterday and created the mountain scene in this layout: @zinzilah asked for a tutorial. I did a VERY fast one. I got a text msg as I began- son is driving in these bad storms- so there is a pause while I read and one while I respond. (SORRY!) And NO VOICE-OVER- just wanted to do this quickly. The mountains of course are a bit more detailed than this heart, and I layered color over color, and changed stroke directions ( the way I moved the mouse- well, I have a touch screen, but it can be done with a mouse or touchpad) often. I did a background underlayer to give depth. The color principle is like painting acrylics in that you can work dark to light colors. OR just play and do it YOUR way. I did forget to add a new layer at first and went back to add it and then continued. HERE is the free brush set - I used only the straight stitch. Thanks to Kate Hadfield for the heart graphic! Hope you enjoy and play around with it!!!
Thank you! I wish it had the layers like the mountains, but I did explain how to do that in the text.
He was. Unfortunately our former stomping grounds, Spartanburg was hit very hard with tornados and flooding.
@IntenseMagic @Scrapping with Liz @bestcee @Karen @redplaid3 @pagefrocks @jk703 Thanks, everyone. I had such a good time with it and was surprised how realistic it looked I thought I would share. Feel free to try- personal or commerically.
