This was a very emotional layout for me to make and I didn't kept my eyes dry, but I'm very thankful for the push to finally scrap these photos and story. So thank you so much for this special last challenge! On this layout are pictures taken during my grandfather's last birthday. He suffered from Alzheimer's Disease the last 9 years of his life and lived in a special nursing home for the last 7 years. The picture of me and him together is the very last picture ever taken of him. The pictures obviously aren't very flattering of him, but they are still very special to me since they remind me of the very last precious moments we spent together.
Thank you so much for this last challenge and for the whole month! I wrote about the end of the school year.
Jouraling Reads: It is always bittersweet to say goodbye to our Happy Place. Even when our feet are aching and our wallets are empty, we really don't want to say goodbye. This trip especially as it seemed like we didn't get to do as many of our favorites. As we walked out the gates the final time, I waved to the Giant Pumpkin. I wish we had time to take a photo with it, but the line was always long.
In most Dutch primary schools it is tradition that the pupils end their last year with a musical. It was my daughters turn last year.
Well I made it ... late, but better late than never I always say! I will admit to blubbering like a baby journaling this ... but thanks Laura, I needed to get this out. Journaling detail is in the gallery.
