Hello and welcome to another month of challenges! This month is back to our regular challenges and a bit of a breather after the MOC! I happy to host the random challenge and I quite like this one - use your favorite kit to create a layout. There are so many kits that are favorites, but I do have a few that I seem to return to time after time and find just perfect for so many different subjects and stories I want to document. So this month I want to focus on just that and have everyong share with the TLP community their favorite kit to use on a layout. Challenge: - Create a layout using your favorite scrapbook kit (coordinating elements + papers are considered a kit). This should be from a TLP designer and the kit should be currently available in the TLP store. - Use only that kit to create your page, no other kits/products should be used on your layout. Be sure to tell us what kit you used and if possible link the kit in the store so that everyone can easily discover a new favorite kit to use! Here is my layout, created with One Little Bird's Shutterbug kit. I adore her products, return to them time and time again, and find they never go out of style. I create so many different layouts with this favorite kit of mine! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I hope you have fun with this challenge and I look forward to seeing what your favorite scrapbooking kit is!
@lcpereyra If the kit came bundled with a matching template set, can we use one of the templates on our page?
This is a first! And a true challenge; first, trying to pick a favorite ( I might just have to pick a kit, lol) and second, I typically use at least 3 different collections. At least the credits will be very easy!
One of my favorite kits is beautiful change from Mommyish. https://the-lilypad.com/store/Beautiful-Change-Kit.html
Like so many of you, it was hard to narrow down to one kit! And I don’t want to neglect the other artists I love! But I kept coming back to nbk’s Art and Journal kit because of it’s beautiful colors and wonderful selection of elements and textures. And this is a tribute to Nicole in another area. It was her tutorial on composing a layout completely on her iPad that gave me the courage to venture down that road. I did this in bed this morning with my carafe of coffee, and still had time to get ready for church! https://the-Lilypad.com/store/art-and-journal-option.html
The new kit I bought is my favorite from LBW Do your own thing. It speaks to the demons I am facing this year
This was hard for me too, because I have so many "go to kits". So, I tried to think of a kit that I've used a lot. I got Lynn's Hot, Hot, Hot right after she released it. I've used parts of it so often - I guess because it's "beachy". So, I went with Hot, Hot, Hot.
I used Generations Collab and I frequently use it for family pages https://the-lilypad.com/store/images/P/onelittlebird-paislee-generations-preview600.jpg
@lcpereyra Wow, this was hard but I think my favorite kit has to be Beautiful Dreamer by @ForeverJoy . I use it all the time for my daughters swim photos and I have to say there are A LOT!
